Joni Doyle-Sims’ “Celtic Dreaming Tree Pendant” is a lovely example of melding metal clay with glass enamels with head-turning results. The symbology of using the leaf shape to represent the colorful canopy of the tree really works for me. The celtic patterns imprinted on the trunk and branches add further layers of meaning to the piece. And, let’s just all stop and gaze at the incredible layers of color Joni achieves in the enamel work. Nice!
