Oberreit’s “K” Pendant

Oberreit_8_09I continue to be amazed by the beautiful work being created in our metal clay community.  Kelley Oberreit posted some awesome new work on her Facebook page and I was lucky enough to catch wind of it.  The challenge was selecting which piece to show you.  Tough choice.

Her “K” pendant is built in silver clay and carved at the dry stage.  I love the fabulous flowing lines, which are nicely contrasted against the rectangular frame.  This piece makes me wish my name started with a “K”!

Kelley’s home on the internet is here at her Web site.

Wow! This is spectacular. What a gentle hand she must have. Very difficult to carve.
