Bubanja’s Guitar Pendant

Bubanja_10_09I spent the weekend at a music festival, and I’ve still got that happy feeling I always get when I surround myself with great music for 3 days.  So, it was fate that I would stumble across Milica Bubanja’s Guitar Pendant in my search for wonderful metal clay art to feature today.  I’m just enthralled with Milica’s sense of scale and detail that shine through in this tiny guitar replica.  I’m also intrigued by her background—born in Belgrade, raised in Piura, Peru and now living in Slovenia.  Oddly enough, I have spent some time in the tiny town of Piura because this is where most of the Peruvian mangos are grown.  In my day job I’m the Director of Marketing for the National Mango Board.  Once again, I’m awed by how we are all so interconnected.

You must check out more of Milica’s work.  She’s got an English version of her Web site, as well as an Etsy storefront and a Flickr photostream.
